George III Secretaire Bookcase

Description:
A late 18th century George III mahogany secretaire chest with a bookcase top.
The secretaire chest has a fitted top drawer with a fall front writing surface, inside there are seven mahogany drawers with rosewood cross banding and four pigeon holes. The chest has three more oak lined drawers with replacement period style brass handles. The bookcase top has a pair of glazed panel doors and three adjustable shelves that slide into position. The top has a dental cornice with a cross banded frieze. The bookcase has had the polish sympathetically restored.

Gothic Secretair Bookcase

Description:
A George IV oak bookcase with a secretaire drawer and glazed top.
The bookcase comprises a two door top with gothic shaped glazing, carved pillars and cornice and two adjustable shelves. The secretair base has matching carved pillars and three other drawers all with turned ebony knob handles, and sits on a plinth base. The secretair drawer has it's original black leather writing surface, four pigeon holes and three oak lined drawers. The bookcase is in very good original condition.
