Description: A magnificent large inverted mahogany open bookcase, moulded cornice above top section divided in three open divisions with adjustable shelves, above a centre division which includes a long drawer above a pull-out reading slope with inkwell compartment above an open section flanked by two figured panelled doors enclosing drawers, standing on eight reeded turned feet. This stunning bookcase is in fantastic original condition. Superb quality!!! England circa 1825.

18TH CENTURY MAHOGANY 4 DOOR LIBRARY BOOKCASE

Description: A very fine, Georgian period four door breakfront mahogany bookcase. The top of the bookcase has four astragal glazed doors in mahogany and ebony stringing. Comprising adjustable shelves. On the bottom there are four mahogany flamed doors with ebony stringing. Inside the base cupboards there are drawers, sliding trays and estate compartment. All standing on a plinth base.

Fitted with a planked top over linenfold and floral carved panel sides, the front with two carved vertical panels flanking a carved door with ornate metalwork over two drawers below with similar carved drawer fronts, raised on extended stile supports. Various period restorations consistent with a piece of this age.
